Hello William,
I'm sorry to hear that you were unaware about AVG automatic renewal. If the automatic renewal is turned on, the emails notification about automatic renewal is sent 45 days before the end of prepaid subscription period (expiration date). However, your AVG has been renewed automatically before 15 days of the subscription period and also see that you have requested a refund for AVG PC TuneUp automatic renewal which has been accepted, you will receive a refund for this in 7 business days. Now, you have only one active subscription in your AVG MyAccount which is AVG Internet Security , expires on 2019.7.4 and the automatic renewal is active for this program. If you wish to cancel the automatic renewal for your AVG Internet Security you can follow he instruction (https://support.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/How-to-cancel-automatic-license-renewal) or you can reply to us.
Best regards,
Alok.
It is too bad that the icon for a survey request disappeared before I could review.
The other day I received an e-mail thanking me for renewing PC Tune Up of which I was completely unaware. There was no courtesy reminder that this impending debit would be deducted from my checking account. I assume no other consumer forgets that an annual subscription to a magazine, a paper, an Internet membership, and others. And I assume that consumers are prepared in advance so that an automatic renewal is covered and the funds are available.
It just so happens That I did forget, I was not reminded, and the funds were not available and now my checking account is overdrawn for $45 with a $39 NSF tacked and if the balance is not covered in 48 hours another bank fee will be assessed to the account.
This really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and one would think that a modern company like AVG would have the common courtesy to remind the consumer and given the option to opt out rather than submit a debit for which there is no funds to cover. My only choice is to notify my bank and deny the unauthorized debit and return it to AVG unpaid.
