Automatic retart of PC

I have an HP Laptop with Windows 10. Every weekend I a software program will record classical programs that are broadcast online from major opera houses. I always make sure that no updates will occur during the weekend so that none of my recordings are shut down for an unexpected reboot. My recordings for today were prevented by an unexpected restart of my computer. Is it possible that the AVG software is automatically doing this with a permission I was not aware was previously granted?

Hello Robert,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
Initially, we'd like to assure you that none of the AVG programs will automatically restart your computer without informing you & getting your permission.
If you still suspect that one of your AVG programs could've caused this, please temporarily disable them right before your next broadcast recording & check the status.
