Hello, Jorge.
In the latest version of AVG, you must generate the scan reports first to view them. To generate a scan report please follow the below steps,(for example: Deep virus scan is considered.)
- Open AVG
- Open Scan setting (symbol of gear, bottom of the window)
- Open Deep Virus Scan setting (symbol of gear, Deep Virus Scan tile)
- Click on "Report file"
- Check "Generate report", fill "Filename" (e.g. AVGScanReport), and check all reported items (Infected items, Hard errors, Soft errors, OK Items, Skipped items)
- Click on "OK" and "OK"
To view the scan report, please follow the path C:\ProgramData\Avg\Antivirus\report.
You will receive a notification in system tray when a virus scan is started. It is recommended to keep your AVG up to date with latest virus definitions to enjoy better protection against latest threats.
Well, the report portion didn't work. First, I don't have AVG installed in the C: drive at all, it's on my D: drive. I also don't have it in a ProgramData director, it's in Program Files (x86).
So, based on the above, I went to D:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Antivirus
I do not have a \report folder, nor do I have any file named "report". I also searched for a text file called "Nightly_Scan", which is the filename I used when I set up the report to run on my scheduled scan, and I didn't find that either. So I still don't know if the problem is that the report isn't being generated properly or if my scheduled scans are not happening.

Like others have posted, a few days ago I noticed that my scheduled scans were no longer happening, and that it said that the date of my last scan had been "6 months ago". I ran a manual scan, and it updated to say the the latest scan had been a seconds ago. Then I re-created a daily scheduled scan. However, I can't tell if these are actually happening or not.
There used to be a feature where you could pull up a history of all your scans, and it would show you how many objects were scanned, how long it took, and what was found. I understand that this feature was disabled a few releases back. Without it, though, I have no way of knowing if the scans are even taking place. All I get is a notification that everything is OK, but I have no proof of it. I really want to see the scan history come back. I haven't had anything show up in the virus vault in about 8 months, and to be honest I find it hard to believe there hasn't been a single questionable file in all that time. Bottom line is, right now I have no proof that my virus protection is actually doing anything.
Please bring back the scan history or some other way that I can see what was scanned and what threats were found.
Thank you. I've set this up to generate the reports going forward. I look forward to seeing the results.
Jorge, "ProgramData" folder is always on the system disk (C:) as it's system folder. Also, it's hidden folder hence you may have not seen it.
Please open run window and type as "%Programdata%"(without quotes).
From here, you can see the scan reports you generated.

If you believe AVG has not detected a suspicious or infected file, please report it to us as per the instructions in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=What-to-do-when-I-suspect-an-undetected-file-is-infected .
