Automatic subscriptions

You have been charged for the automatic renewal of AVG TuneUp - Unlimited because you agreed to automatic extension of your subscription when you originally signed up for the subscription.
We can assure you that we have not processed any unauthorized payments from your card or account.

On looking at my account you have now added a subscription to AVG TuneUp that was not there before. I do not see a 60 day free trial as a subscription let alone an agreement to automatically renew. I do not recall downloading AVG TuneUp and in any case I did not keep it for very long. and deleted it well within the 60 day trial period. I did not receive pre-billing notification. This automatic renewal system seems more like a scam to me.

Thank you for the refund of the $59.99 that you stole from me for a supposed automatic subscription where there was no original subscription. Not a word of explanation or apology. You can be sure of one thing. I will never buy any of your products again. Why don't you have an email address. Could it be that you would then have to respond to customer concerns?

As I have said previously I did not subscribe to AVG TuneUp at any stage therefore I could not have agreed to an automatic renewal. At one stage I did subscribe to AVG Anti Virus but never AVG TunUp. Your explanation fails - please explain

John, let me clarify this for you.

Upon checking, we could see that you have initially subscribed for the AVG TuneUp 60 day trial on 2/20/20.

Later it has been renewed to an annual subscription, as it was enrolled to automatic renewal.

We did sent you the pre-billing notification to the registered email address on 4/11/20.

This isn't the experience we want you to have, John.
Your 60 day free trial subscription was already renewed as yearly subscription and was refunded now.
You won't be able to view your previous trial subscription in your account now, as it is already renewed.
Deleting AVG trial subscription will not cancel the auto-renewal. We did sent renewal reminder email on 4/11/20.
