Last week, my Lenovo A516 got stolen. I had AVG Anti-Theft installed into it, but I haven't had any luck locating it. Unfortunately, I haven't backed up any of its invaluable personal and business content. Is it possible for the system to automatically send me my phone's location as soon as it goes online?

No, there is no such feature, you can lock phone and it should be locked as soon as phone is turned on.
Unfortunately thief might just wipe phone.
