| Ms Paley and Mr Pollack sought compensation on their own behalf and on behalf of a class of similarly situated users, for the alleged collection of customer browsing data and its sale to third parties in relation to the period between 1 August 2014 and 30 January 2020 from users of Avast Programmes and 30 September 2016 and 30 January 2020 from users of AVG Programmes (together “Eligible Users”). |

I would also appreciate an answer from AVG please. Is this a phishing scam to get our information or is it legitimate? Please AVG let us know.

There is a settlement, but as far as I can tell the FTC is paying a cash amount to people who have ALREADY registered a claim. It looks like claims are closed, and there is no mention of a free subscription offer. It looks like this may indeed be a phishing scam.
I’ve also received this email and want to know if its genuine or not, would be good to get a response from AVG
