zbynek your link wont open ive just done this test with virgin media in the uk and its very true i have 152 meg broadband speed but only get half that when avg is running disable avg i get 148 meg ?

In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output using this tool (http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe) and please add detailed description of issue.

As per the link have you located the actual AVG culprit component?.

As i said i manually disable all avg components but nothing happened. I can't understand what else  "Temporarily disable avg protection" button does and set the internet speed back to normal. I uncheck the "Enable resident shield", "Scan applications", "Scan drivers", "Caching enabled", "Turn on anti-spam protection", "Enable surf-shield", "Enable online shield", "Enable avg accelerator", "Active identity protection", "Enable avg self protection".

I have the same problem like the link i put. I disable manually the avg components but the internet speed still is low only if i push "Temporarily disable avg protection" button the internet speed goes to normal speed. This problem I haven't with past years avg. Please try to solved it and make a update pack. Thanks.
