OK, everyone - just a comment on this issue: yes Win 10, along with some of the newer "Builds" does trash AVG and force you to del AVG's temp files and do a reinstall -0h yeah - Very time consuming but it works - Having a "computer" vs my last build which I call a Machine ,has retaught me patience… but hope is alive ! latest build 1511 seemed to fix a lot of these issues. Hooray for Beer.

Thanks, but I have looked at that link… all it does for me is to update the free trial AVG (Zen?) that I recently downloaded. I still don't know where my original AVG 2015 is… any ideas how to proceed? If I do manage to get rid of Windows 10 and get back to 8.1 would it 'reappear'?

Help! I have (or had!) a two year subsription for AVG 2015… After I installed Windows 10 I noticed (like hundreds/thousands of other people) that my games no longer work. Well… not just games. The only thing I have left to show that I had AVG 2015 is the copy of my invoice that I'd saved to my desktop. Even the shortcut to AVG was 'removed'.
I've been tryng to get in touch with AVG, but no luck. I'm fed up with Windows 10 and hope to get back to Windows 8.1 (possibly getting the games to work again, too), but in the mean time I downloaded the latest(?) free trail AVG product simply to get some protection. I don't want to have to pay for protection that I already paid for.
Can anyone help, please? I am not computer smart, so please speak in small words!

Additionally, I could not update my AVG 2015 from the AVG web site following the move to Windows 10, because Windows 10 had already "removed" AVG 2015 from my computer. "Catch 22"!
