Hi Kenza & AVG Gurus,

Please supply a means by which I can upload supporting logs?

Kind Regards

Michael

Hi AVG Gurus,

I have uploaded Michael_Taylor_AVG2015.zip to your ftp server containing:

  1. Windows 7 Applications Event Log;
  2. Wordpad Document screenshot recording the error;
  3. AVGInstLog file captured yesterday morning when logged in as Administrator;
  4. MSInfo32 Export
  5. SystemInfo output.
I look forward to knowing what needs to be achieved so that I can install AVG.

Kind Regards

Michael Taylor

Good Day,

I have not been able to either upgrade or re-install AVG 2015 (avg_free_stb_all_5856p1_177) since being prompted for the latest update.  The full error mesaage is:
"SA_Error1709: StandardAction(0xC00706AD): Product: AVG 2015 – Error 1402. SA_Error1402: StandardAction(0xC007057A): Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\E93C68DB128DEB546801BD69347A4B83\6D69981D093F040489096ACDE371A151.  System error 5.  Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."

My latest attempt involved:
1. Running avg_remover_stf_x64_2015_5501
2. Activating (for the first time) my Windows 7 Administrator account and whilst logged in as Administrator:
3. Running AVG_ResetAccess v1.0.0.2
4. Running avg_free_stb_all_5856p1_177.

In every case the installation fails because it cannot access a registry key that the installation creates and that is subsequently removed during cleanup.  When trying to open the registry subkey Regedit responds with the msg "6D69981D093F040489096ACDE371A151 cannot be opened. An errort is preventing this key from being opened. Details: access is denied".  Fixing this problem is pointless because subsequent installations use a different key.

Any advice and guidance would be appreciated.; I have already fought with getting the latest Tune Up 2015 installed!

Logs can be supplied upon request; I just need a respository making available.

Kind Regards

Michael
