Installed avg internet security on my windows 10, soon after my PC freezes. It will only turn on for a minute then becomes unresponsive.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. We would request you to uncheck AVG program from start up menu. Please try to restart your computer in normal mode and then check whether you can access your computer without any issues. If the issue persists try to reboot your computer in safe mode ( http://avgclick.me/rebootintosafemode )and disable AVG Program completely and then check your PC whether its freezes at certain points.
