AVG 2017 Email Protection setup

Open AVG->Open Internet Security->Go to Menu->settings->components->then you can configure the email settings in AVG using the email component.

Sorry but that doesn't make any difference.

Please advise how to configure the inbound/outbound email server.

Prior to the latest upgrade to AVG 2017, I had my email secured through AVG using the proceedure given on this support page:

Since the upgrade, I can no longer recieve email (through Outlook or Thunderbird).

Can you please point me in the direction of updated instructions on how to configure AVG 2017 so I can recieve email again?

Have followed the above, but there are no options to configure the inbound/outbound email server under this component.

We apologize for the inconvenience created by this situation. We suggest to follow some steps to fix this issue:
1. Please open your AVG Internet Security from AVG Zen tile.
2. Then click "Menu" at the top right corner of the AVG Internet Security and choose AVG "Settings"
3. Select Components in left side and click Customize in Firewall component.
4. In Policies, change the default rules to "allow".
5. In Network profiles, please choose the profile from Public to Private.
6. Click Ok to save the changes.
Please reply back if the issue persists.
