I'm trying to scan my computer for a virus that I think I may have but for some reason, scanning my whole computer is SUPER slow. I've been scanning for about 2 hours now and it's only on 4% while with older versions of AVG, it would be done by now.

How exactly do I speed up the scan? as it's going to take me ages before it finishes
