AVG 2017 Update

It is indeed disappointing when you have to contact us multiple times about the same issue. We would like to update you again that the changes are being made but we do not have an update about when exactly the fix will be available.

I have encountered many problems since this update. One of them is that my scheduled scans do not start. I have looked at the Scheduling help file and have followed all the steps shown. However, there is one step on this Help page which instructs me to tick the box called "Wake up system to start the scan [if in sleep mode]"  This option is not shown on my AVG scheduling screen. I am not confident that this would sort the problem out anyway as my scans do not start whether my computer is in sleep mode or not,  but it would be worth a try if I had the choice. 
I have had  four or five "live" on-line help sessions regarding the faults with this update all of which have eventually been passed to the "technical team" but they have also not sorted this problem out. I have been told that they are working on a further update which I presume will address this [and other] issues.  I have been told that when this update is available I will be informed -but I am still waiting.  I would add that before this so called "upgrade" AVG had been working perfectly. 
I have used AVG for many years but I am seriously looking at other options as I have lost the trust I had in AVG to keep my computer safe.
