Hi John.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
It must be a promotional pop up for AVG Secure VPN. You can turn off the ads from the settings in AVG Internet Security.
Open AVG Internet Security, click Menu -> Settings -> General -> Personal Privacy. Then untick the options under 'Offers' to stop receiving ads.

Hi,  I run a 3rd party VPN along with AVG internet security. I keep getting an annoying pop up saying that I have X of X privacy issues and that the IP address is visible.  This this totally an incorrect message as I know full well I am VPN protected.  Why can't AVG  be modified to pickup 3rd party VPN protection so that the annoying advertising is not constantly interrupting my work.  Thanks.
