Hi
I had to copy about 10 GB from my pc to file server and the copy silent fails. After same research the copy only finish when i disable the AV. My question is: can i exclude the AVG from scanning network drivers?
I have search the shared setting but i can not find any options to disable scanning network drivers.
Regards.
Ricardo Marques
Dear Ricardo,
Thank you for contacting AVG.
AVG Resident Shield scanning on network drives and shares can be disabled using the following fltmc command:
fltmc detach avgmfx86 \device\lanmanredirector
It can be re-enabled (attached) this way:
fltmc attach avgmfx86 \device\lanmanredirector
When used on 64bit systems, the filter name is "avgmfx64" instead. It is possible to use the same command to disconnect any of the devices handled by Windows Filter Manager, and thus exclude them from scanning by AVG Minifilter driver. To get the list of devices, use command:
“fltmc volumes”
To exclude some device, enter:
fltmc detach avgmfx86 \Device\<volume>
Disabling the Resident Shield this way will be effective only until next reboot of the computer, so if you wanted to retain this setting you would have to incorporate the command into a startup script.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Best Regards,
David Phillips.
