Please accept my apologies with regards to the AVG software not living up to your expectations. The "Last scan" status on AVG interface issue was fixed in the recently released 18.1 version. I would also like to inform you that it will get updated only if you run a scan by clicking on "Scan computer" on main interface and not for any other scans like Schedules scan, deep scan and file or folder scan.
Regarding Promotional pop ups issue: Many of our users find these offers useful. We handpick them from our own products or those of partners we feel can add to your security or digital experience. The frequency of pop ups can be controlled directly from the app or can be even turned off (please open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > general > Pop ups > manage your pop ups). You can also uncheck the box "show pop up offers for other AVG Products" in general settings.

That is the most idotic answer AVG could provide. Pretty much saying (Well too bad these notification bother the majority of the customer base becuase a small percentage finds these product we're shoving down your throats useful. If you dont want to see them then we suggest using the least convient feature of our security software.)
I have been using AVG for over 15 years and the latest version is this most difficult version I have ever seen.
1- I am running Internet Security and PC Tune Up latest version 18.1.3044. I use this to protect my wife's computer and make her feel safe when using the computer.
2- The software updates have many glitches and the notes on the primary screen indicating last scan and last update never are accurate. Except for the reports that I have set up there would be no accurate way to know if a computer scan has been run. For this reason alone I would like to return to the simpler versions that worked.
3- NOW even though I have PAID subscriptions it seems that AVG wants even more and bombards me with continuous advertisements about how they have even better products to sell me to keep everything safe.
4- I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE BEST ADVERTISEMENT FOR GOING TO ANOTHER PROVIDER!!!
My wife is unhappy with you and that is very bad!
I fully intend to take my business elsewhere unless these advertisements cease immediately. I hope that others of you who are fed up with these infringements follow my lead and tell AVG where it is at.
