AVG Advertising Popups

Thanks - from your answer you obviously know about these advertising pop ups - if I want extra functionality from AVG I will go to the website and look there - I do not want advertising coming up on my screen.

The popups normally only last a few seconds so I will have to be quick to get a screen shot.

I want to stop these popups.

CC cleaner has similar popups that could not be stopped and as a result it is no longer on my system as there are other similar programs without annoying popups.

Thanks

Garry

AVG keeps on producing pop ups adverting its products and encouraging me to upgrade from my basic product.

How do I stop this because it is annoying and if it continues I will uninstal AVG and go to another product.

Garry, there is an option to opt out from receiving ads for other AVG products, if you are using a paid or trial version of AVG Internet Security or AVG TuneUp. I'm afraid it is not an option in AVG AntiVirus free at the moment.
Appreciate your understanding.

Hi Gary,

We've reopened your initial post & replying through it for your convenience.
This isn't the experience we want you to have. Upon checking your account, we're unable to find any subscription.
From your initial post, we see that you're using the free version. If you reconsider, you can try to enable the silent mode in AVG program.
Note : This will also block the threat notifications (if any). To do so : Open AVG Free - Menu - settings - General - Notifications - Enable 'use silent mode & turn off all messages, pop ups' by checking it.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!

Garry, we're sorry to hear that you have decided to remove AVG free from your PC.
We apologize if an AVG product did not meet your expectations.

Ok - thanks - I will uninstall AVG and go to another product where they may get my additional business.

When I have done this I will cancel my AVG account.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Garry.
We'll certainly loon into this.
Could you share a screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the pop up that you are receiving?
Many of our users find these offers useful: they rely on them to upgrade to our higher levels of protection. By doing so, they help fund your free version of the protection.
We also handpick offers from our other products or those of partners we feel can add to your security or digital experience. If you have suggestions on how these offers might be more relevant to you or less intrusive, please let us know. We are always working on improving your experience with AVG.
