I also have this problem. I do not have AVG installed and for the past couple of months I have been having this exact same problem. It is not just the Black friday sale, it has been on for a long while now.

A few months ago my browser Explorer suddenly began opening new tabs with AVG antivirus adverising. I do not use AVG antivirus. I have tried scans and anti-malware to get rid of this really annoying thing without success. I spent hours googling trying to find a solution to this. I do have a TuneUp (paid) installed and wonder if it has anything to do with it. Anyway, wherever it comes from it is from AVG and I want it to stop! A company selling antivirus programs and pushing unwanted advertising that behaves like malware is the pits. Please advise asap. See below a link with the newest little present from AVG...

Thank you for your reply. However I am afraid I have not been able to explain my problem. It is not this one pop-up that bothers me, but that it has been happening for months: from time to time out of nowhere a browser tab will open advertising AVG antivirus. Please let me know how to stop this now. Will it stop if I uninstall TuneUP? I will do so like a flash. I am ready to do a total factory reset on my computer if I cannot stop this. How does AVG keep opening new browser tabs?? Is this what you mean by "campaign" that will be stopped soon? That AVG takes over my browser and opens new tabs with their advertising? I hope your answer will help me understand what is happening here. Thank you.
