AVG advising as out of date despite being up to date

Hello Charlotte,

I am sorry to hear that. I see that you have older version of AVG Internet Security installed in your computer. I suggest you completely remove from control panel and reinstall (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection) AVG Internet Security in your computer and update the program to latest version (AVG 17.5.3021). If you face any difficulties even after installing the latest version of AVG Internet Security, please let me know and I will assist you further.

Following a PC shut down when I restarted my pc I had a window10 security center notification pop up advising that AVG was out of date. I followed the steps to perform the "required" update only to be advised that the virus definitions update was already in place.

I performed a repair task via settings, turned off the pc and restarted to be met with the same message. This time the homepage interface is telling me that the basic protection - pc and web and email are both protected, where as before the repair process was run it was advising my computer was unprotected but AVG is still advised as out of date. Running the repair tool has not resolved the issue.

I am using a paid version of AVG purchase in October 2016 so my subscription is up to date
