AVG and Clean My Mac

Hi Marcello,

We're glad to clarify this for you.
We have started to detect Apple macOS CleanMyMac X application as a PUP (potentially unwanted program).
Reason being, it is marked as a deceptor by APPESTEEM : https://bit.ly/3m2M33t
However, if you trust the app, you can add it to exception to exclude it from future scans.
To do so : Open AVG Antivirus on MAC - Click on AVG in menu bar - Select preferences - Exceptions - File shield (browse & add.)
After adding the app to exception, you may need to reinstall the CleanMy Mac app. Please try the above step & let us know if it helps.

Hi, I am having problems between AVG and Clean My Mac, which AVG reads as malaware and blocks it, how can I fix it? thank you so much
