AVG and Gmail / Google Chat

I had already found this article.

Problem is I don't use an email client (see step 7).

There needs to be instructions on how to import the ACG certificate into your browser. I use Chrome

And it's not just email that's failing either - mutliple different failures with Google Chat and Drive also - see my original message.

My only workaround is to keep temporarily disabling all protection, which is a) driving me mad and b) concerning me as such when I do this my PC is obviously vulnerable to attacks / malware etc

I turned off AVG Anti-track and everything started working fine…

Are there any settings in the AntiTrack app that I can change to stop it clobbering Google Apps https services (which seem to be the only thing that's affected by it)

I recently upgraded from AVG Internet Security to AVG Ultimate and at the same time started having frequent random issues with Google services.

I have personal and business google accounts (GSuite / Google Workspace) i

Issues include

  • reported certificate issues, with Gmail or Chat (only applicable to GS/GW), which can be ignored by skipping past the browser protection/intervention.
  • these pages and Google Drive being completely unreachable
  • Getting the "Ooops unable to connect" message in Gmail
I have unchecked "Scan SSL connections" in the geek:area within AVG, but that hasn't helped...

When I turn off AVG protection altogether, surprise surprise, all the above start working again without issues.

Any help from AVG experts much appreciated! :-)

This isn't the usual behavior of AVG program, Mike
We need to investigate more regarding this.
Did you make use of the Remote Support?
