AVG and Internet Connectivity Issues

Hi Cindy,
We are sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Internet Connectivity. We suggest you to change the firewall network profile from "Public" to "Private" and check if that fixes the issue. To change this settings, please open the AVG Internet Security and click on Menu>Settings>Components>Firewall>Customize>Network profile.
Thank you!

I tried the resolution suggested but it too did not work.  I am still getting continuously disconnected from wifi.  When I got to the Network profiles in the Firewall app of AVG I changed all 5 things it listed, 3 of which had addresses and 2 were adapters which did not - all changed to private.  Did I need to force a scan?  I did restart my computer and then checked to see if the AVG changes were still present and they were still set to "private".  I am also getting web sites saying they are "not secure" before the https, so am I at risk now also?  I was in the website barnes and noble which should be a safe site.

Hello Cindy,
I have sent you an email, please follow the email instruction and help us with the system/AVG logs, so that we will analyze the issue and we will assist you further.
Best regards,
Alok.

Over the last several weeks I have been getting disconnected from my Wifi on my laptop (it uses Windows 10).  I have to reconnect constantly and have read where other people have experienced the same thing thinking it was a Windows 10 update issue but apparently found it to be an AVG issue.  What is the suggested solution?  Most people seemed to have had this issue in the later part of 2016, but I am having it now.  I have the AVG protection 2-year paid plan.  Is it a firewall problem?  It looked like the suggestion in Dec 2016 was to uninstall and then reinstall AVG, but for some this solution did not work.  I have already had my internet provider out and the signal for my wifi is quite good, yet it keeps disconnecting.  I am getting Wifi on my apple phone with no problem and AVG was never installed on that device.  I also went to a computer repair operative who checked my computer for viruses, etc and it was all good.  Any help would be appreciated as I am getting frustrated…Just tried to send this and was showing wifi connections available - not connected.  Hopefully I can get this through before it disconnects once again
