Avg and system restore

Please run both removal tools as mentioned in this article: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product to remove AVG program traces.
NOTE: If there are no AVG program found then click on "Run Anyway" to proceed with the removal.

windows xp pro sp3 32 bit
avg free

when i install avg free i get the following error in event viewer:

The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected error '0xC0000001' while processing the file '' on the volume 'HarddiskVolume1'.  It has stopped monitoring the volume

if i uninstall avg free the error goes away

ran avg_remover
ran avg_clean
installed avg_ultimate_1827

after a reboot error is back:

when i go into safe mode i don't get the error in event viewer log
i did a system restore in safe mode - ok
when i do a normal boot i get the error in the event viewer log
if i go into control pane - system - system restore it says it is still monitoring c drive

i only get the error after a rebootUser-added image

Thank you for providing the screenshot. Do you receive the error message immediately after a reboot or when you try to perform an action on system restore tool?
