AVG Anti Virus blocking access to websites

Hi,
Many Thanks for your reply, everything is now working fine after doing what you said.
The problem is though does that mean my anti virus is not checking my websites properly now I have changed the settings? I want to ensure everything is still secure.
Thanks

Hi, That's working now Thanks for your help

I am having the same problems.  I unchecked the https option and everything worked.  Then after re-enabling the https scanning, repairing AVG and restarting it went back to not working again.  When I try to log on to outlook.com to get email or log on to facebook the page just churns and doesn't open.  What can I do now?

Hello Daniel,
I am sorry to hear about that. Please open AVG Antivirus free/Internet Security and click on Menu->Settings-> Components->Online shield->Customize->Main settings-> uncheck HTTSP scan and see if that fix the issue.

Thank you for following the instructions.

Hello Bamm,
I'm sorry to hear about this. Please let us know which AVG program you have installed on your computer (AVG Free Antivirus or AVG Internet Security).
Best regards,
Alok.

I have just installed AVG Anti Virus and now all of a sudden I can't access loads of websites, mainly https secure ones. It's definitely an issue with AVG as they all work perfectly if I disable my anti virus completely - which clearly I don't want to do. What has AVG done? How can I resolve?

Daniel,
Thank you for confirming it. Please enable https scanning option, then repair AVG Free Antivirus as mentioned in this article ( http://avgread.me/1BVxDSY ) and check if it works.
If the issue persists, please share the screenshot of error you encountered with websites to assist you further.
To create a screenshot, please follow this article http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV .
Thank you.
