AVG Anti virus for android

Hi Bruce . . . just submitted the same. Annoying!!

I am having this same issue but now October 2020.  Keeps saying 1 risk found, and that the web shield is off. Then  to enable the app in the accessibility settings. When I go there, it has already been activated but the message still keeps repeatedly coming up. Driving me mad. Also not sure if it's a glitch on AVGs part or genuinely a risk on my phone

Hello, Bruce.
I regret for any inconvenience this may have caused. Could you provide a screenshot ( http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot ) of the warning message? Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions to upload the screenshot.
You could try to reset AVG app to resolve the issue. To do so, navigate to the location mentioned below.
Device Menu -> Settings -> Apps/Application Management -> AVG Antivirus -> Tap on clear cache and clear data -> Force stop the app once.

After an AVG scan of my sony xperia X1A mobile phone two messages came up saying 1. "Found 1 risk" with a button below giving the option to rescan, and a another message below saying 2. "Virus definitions outdated" with options to resolve or ignore.
I clicked resolve and got a message back stating that my definitions were up to date.
I then clicked on the button to rescan under the risk warning thinking that updating the virus definitions might have resolved this. However, after the rescan the same 1risk message returned along with the virus definitions message. I tried to find out through the avg app what the risk was but could not find any other information.
Can you help?

Bruce, this is a followup regarding the virus definitions out of date on AVG for Android. Our developers are aware of this and confirmed an update will be released soon with a fix. Meanwhile, I ensure your device is protected and request you to keep the auto-update of apps is enabled in Google play store. Click on this link https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/113412?hl=en for instructions to enable it if you have not already.

Once the fix is rolled out, you will get a notification and the AVG app will be updated automatically. After updating AVG app, restart your device and check for the status.
Thank you for your understanding!
