[1] Are you saying that if I download the latest standalone version [v19.3.4241.0] of 347 MB, it will automatically detect and install the version required for my system WITHOUT me being connected to the Internet?

[2] Will it install completely without any problems WITHOUT me being connected to the Internet?

[3] When I am eventually connected to the Internet I will just need to check for definition updates, is that correct?

I have got to re-install my Win Vista Ultimate x86 computer.

Can you please direct me to the download file for AVG Anti-Virus FREE so I can download and install it OFFLINE please as I understand that the latest version of AVG doesn't run on Win Vista anymore.

Hi Paul, 

Let me clarify this for you. 

1. If you use offline installer, you will need to connect to internet to download the set-up file and can install it without or with internet connection.

2. Once you download the set-up file, it is not required to have internet connection during its installation.

3. You are right. Virus definitions will get updated automatically when turning ON your data.
