Many thanks for your answer. I tried it but encountered the following error. I have also re-installed after using avg remover. Please advise next action.

Hello Obasi,

I am sorry to hear that you are unable to complete the installation of AVG AntiVirus free. Please check if you have any other security software installed or old traces of AVG free already installed in your computer. If it is, please remove the same and then initiate the installation of AVG.

Thank you for providing screenshot Obasi,
In this case, I request you to save/move the AVG downloaded file to a different location (desktop or any other location), right click on AVG downloaded file, select run as administrator and check if you can proceed with the AVG Free Antivirus installation.
