Hello Mauro,
I understand the inconvenience.
May I know whether you are using the latest 18.3 version of AVG Antivirus in Mac?
Hello Balasubramanian,
Thank-you for your reply.
I am running version 18.2. Will installing the new version fix the problem?
Do you have a link, please?.. I've been searching on the internet, but only found a .exe version so far…
Sorry for the delay in responding, Mauro.
If the button in the system settings can't be clicked then disable any screensharing or mouse/keyboard sharing apps and use Apple keyboard and mouse. Else this is the alternative script https://goo.gl/Ytyz7n to use.
Mauro,
It's unfortunate that this has happened. Not much we can do with this system dialog over which have no control of. The possible option is you can discuss it with Apple support for further assistance.
Hello and thank-you for your help.
It's been a few days since I last heard from you and was just following up the status of my enquiry.
If I may say so, I'm not sure it was completely necessary to escalate my claim. I believe that a simple link to the version 18.3 of the software would have resolved the matter.
Thanks-you once again for your time and effort,
Mauro

Hello there. For some time now, I have had the message coming up that I am not protected as my "Web Shield" is turned off.
I have tried the "fix all" option, but to no avail. It takes me to my System Preferences and informs me that "System software from developer "AVG Technologies CZ, s.r.o." was blocked from loading". Nothing happens when I press the "Allow" button.
I have also tried reinstalling the program a couple of times, but that hasn't worked either.
I am running macOS High Sierra V. 10.13.4
Please help.
Thank you.

Hello Ranjani,
Thank-you for your response.
No need to apologise at all for the delay. I just sent that reminder yesterday because I was slightly concerned that the problem may had become more complicated that it needed to be.
In any case, I thank-you very much for sending through the advice, as well as the script.
I'll get onto attempting to resolve the situation ASAP, and will let you know how I get on with that.
Thanks again and all the best,
Mauro
Hello again,
I followed the suggested steps and it didn't work, unfortunately.
I have also searched the AVG forum and have noticed that many other mac users have had the same problem. I have also noticed from reading the forums, that there is no apparent fix for this issue.
Alas, this leaves with no potion but to uninstall the AVG software and to go with another antivirus provider.
I realise that this is not your fault, and want to thank everyone who has particiapted on this thread for their help and advice.
All the best and I hope you manage to find a way of eventually resolving the issue.
Mauro
