AVG Anti virus won't turn on

After the latest update the antivirus won't turn on. I have tried both the repair and uninstalling it and reinstalling it. It still doesn't work.
Any other suggestions.

Are you experiencing this issue in AVG Antivirus free or AVG Internet Security program?
Do you mean that you aren't able to see the interface or does it says as "Not protected"?
