AVG Antivirus 2016 not installing in windows 10 64 bit

The issue could be because of the traces of older version of AVG.

I purchased AVG Antivirus 2016 from amazon.com. Ever since I have been trying to install the same in my Laptop but is without success. I get an error code: 0xc0070643. Description-event exec_finished.
I tried the AVG Reset Access as well AVG Renover. AFter running these two tools also it is not getting installed.
I have a windows 10 64 bit. No other Antivirus software is installed.
