Hi,
I have reinstalled AVG and I'm still having the problem.
I'm using version 18.2 and the default Apple Mail app version 11.2 and Mac OS 10.13.3.
I am still unable to access my runbox.com emails via Apple Mail with AVG Web shield disabled.
Thank you for waiting, Paul.
Follow the below suggested steps and let us know its status.
1. Open the "/Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/config" folder.
2. Copy file "com.avg.proxy.conf" to desktop or other any other folder of your liking.
3. Open copied file from the new location with TextEdit.
4. Add those two lines without quoutes at the end of the file and save those changes.
- "[mail]"
- "LIMIT = 1"
5. Copy file from your desktop and paste it back to the "/Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/config".
- As the file with same already exists, you'll be asked to choose what to do when pasting it. Select the "Replace" option - you'll be also asked for account password
6. Restart your device and check with the status.
Paul,
We request you to disable your Mac Shield and check if that helps. If the issue persists, provide us the server configuration of the "runbox.com" mailbox. If you uses IMAP, POP, SMTP and on what ports.
Please add me to this problem. AVG Free has severely compromised my Apple Mail. I tried to remove AVG Free by the usual means of dragging the icon to trash. It does not work. I am now unable to re-install AVG Free because I get a message saying that "A previous version still exists."
Hi,
I have two email address, one with icloud.com and another one with runbox.com. My icloud email works fine but after a recent upgrade to AVG antivirus my runbox email account has stopped syncing with there servers. If I uninstall the antivirus, the email works again. There doesn't appear to be anyway to add exceptions. Any help will be appreciated?
Thanks,
Paul
This has not solved the issue, I'm still unable to access my emails.
