"AVG Antivirus is already installed, please uninstall the previous version first"

Good morning,

I have uninstalled AVG internet security from my MAcBook and when I download and try to install the software again I get the following message:

"AVG Antivirus is already installed, please uninstall the previous version first".

The problem is that I have already uninstalled the version I had installed before.

Do you know how to solve the problem?

We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please follow the below steps to remove any/all traces of AVG from your Mac:

1. Open Finder
2. In menu bar select GO > GO TO FOLDER
3. Type: /Library/Application Support/
4. Locate and delete AVG Antivirus folder manually
5. Restart your mac

Once you've performed the above actions, try installing AVG Antivirus.
