Thank you for your understanding in advance!
When selecting Boost Ram it scans & Kills X number of tasks, when I press Boost Ram again it kills the same number of tasks, Is it working? I'd expect to see none being killed, am I missing something?
Thanks for clearing that up, I understand. Is there an option to actually stop an App from running in the background?
Regards
Mark
Hi Mark,
We can disable the specific app from device settings. This will make sure that the app is not running at background. Please navigate to Device settings->apps->select the specific app-> Select Disable. Please note, we have to enable the app again from same location to use it.
During the scan, it would show as "killing tasks" which is actually related to the clearing of caches created by the apps on your device.
This doesn't mean that the apps are entirely terminated or deleted.
If you perform boost ram again, it would scan the same number of apps installed on your device and would show the amount of cache files that was cleared.
To know more about it, refer this FAQ.

Regarding your concern with "Boost Ram" of AVG Antivirus app, we would like to give an example which would provide a clarity.
If you click on boost ram for the first time, it would scan the apps installed on your device and clear the caches that are created by them.
