I get the same thing when I run Tune Up. it's not a problem as suvh, AVG just want you to buy more from them. However their answer is a bit disingenuous because they've reacted as though to your comments as though it really is a "problem". It's not, it's the marketing team at work. They just want you to buy anothert AVG product.
So, in my case both my AVG Internet Surity and AVG Tune tell me I'm not 100% protected or tuned up because I've not got:
A) AVG Driver Updater and my Drivers are out of date so, presumably, won't work. But of course they work just fine - lol (and you have to buy of course).
B) HMA Pro VPN isn't installed but I don't need to hide my identitity because I've installed AVG Internet Security - presumably it IS good enough to protect me? (I'm sure it too requires further purchase) and…
C) Antivirus Protection Pro (like yourself) is needed because my PC is not protected even though I have AVG Internet Security installed - maybe it's not good enough? (I've not looked for this, but I'm sure it too requires me to spend more).
The reality is, that while AVG Internet Security and AVG Tune Up software do probably protect you and help keep your PC functioning but AVG still want to sell, sell and sell. The evidence I see on a daily basis suggests that this is may be more important than protection and performance.
I've a way to go on my subscriptions on both products, and I've been a loyal AVG customer (for over 7 years) but recently I've noticed that my software just wants to sell me things.
That isn't what I signed up for and isn't what I want. But when I say "no" I don't want the product, it tells you that I'm "not fully tuned up" or "not fully protected".
Come on AVG, stop messing about with us. You've got good products, just leave it at that. Allow us, as customers, to decide when WE want to buy product instead of trying to slip it in under the radar by insinuating things aren't giood enough as they are.
That's not how I expect a reputable company to behave.
Change your marketing strategy and separate it from your technical protection.
they've tried to sell me (ie: they've triwed to say my PC is not fully tuned up because I don't have .
