From your description, we're uncertain whether AVG is installed on your computer.
Reason being, you've stated that after uninstalling there was an attempt to repair.
Once the program is uninstalled, it cannot be repaired. Would you be so kind to clarify it for us?

My AVG antivirus wouldn't update so I uninstalled and attempted to repair it.The repair failed stating we've experienced a problem during initialization. I tried again and the same thing happened
