AVG Antivirus Slow shutdown since early May update

Hi, since early may update of the free antivirus there is an issue with shutting down, my computer now takes about 4 minutes to shut down instead of the normal 10 seconds or so.

Any suggestion as to why this would be, a setting change in the update or they've just messed up the program?

Win7 64 SP1. Been using AVG for years with no issue until now.
