AVG application folder displays on desktop at startup

Hello Len,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. We suggest you to provide screen-shot (http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV) of the application folder which will help us in identifying the issue. Thank you.

Following an AVG Free update an application data folder now appears (containing an "AV" folder) on the desktop of one of the users after logging in. There are two users and it does not appear on the other user's. Please advise me how I can stop it from appearing.
Len,  For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

This problem isn't something new. Just google avg folder on start up if you want to see what I am talking about. You don't need a screen shot. When others have enquired about the same problem they have been told to email AVG to get details on how to remove it but when you only have AVG Free it would appear that email contact is not available.

Does this folder appears on the Administrator account login?

It's not in the admin a/c, it's in the other one and I believe it appeared after an update was downloaded in this other a/c. I don't know whether it's relevant but I also appear to have two avg programs installed in the computer ... AVG 293MB and AVG PROTECTION 253MB. One of these could be ZEN that I don't want but was probably loaded in error when avg sent out a confusing request for me to accept an unclear update sometime ago.
Thank you for clear explanation.
If you aren't interested to use AVG Zen program then please remove it using our AVG remover tool and check whether this folder persists.
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
NOTE: Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.

Please let us know the status of this.
