AVG applies your security settings - taking forever

I will help you with the issue,
May I know which AVG program have you installed in your computer ?
please try to reinstall your AVG program by downloading it from www.AVG.com/download
and then apply the settings . You don't have to apply the security settings every time you start your computer .
Try to reinstall AVG program and check if it solves the issue .

I updated my AVG, then restarted my computer, and it tells me to apply new security settings and not open any browsers until it's done.  

 

I've attempted to let this update many times over the past few months, and it always runs for hours on end, until I end up restarting my computer.

 

So I finally uninstalled AVG and now reinstalled it, and the process is still taking forever to complete.  

 

Before I would just tell AVG to never remind me about applying my security settings because it just takes too long, but I feel I should allow it to apply the security settings to my browsers.

 

Any advice on what I can do differently to get this to complete applying the security settings?
