For about a week now I keep getting a message from AVG about being embarrased that Internet Security won't open but that it is still runnning. After a few days of this, I figured it was time to run a scan with the app, but it wouldn't open. So, I tried opening TuneUp also; same thing, it wouldn't open. My Secure VPN is working, though, and I can click it make it open. I thought, well, I'll just redownload those two apps and reinstall them. Nope. They download, but when I click on the .exe file to install it, I get a pop-up windows from Microsoft saying something to the effect that AVG isn't an approved Microsoft vendor and I don't need them anyway since Windows 10 has it all covered anyway, and wouldn't I like to look in their Store for anything else I might like? I went through this whole thing multiple times with the same result. What's going on?
Hi Lance,
Thank you for explaining your concern in community forum and I'll certainly help you further.
This issue might have caused due to technical glitch with AVG services in the background.
Regarding the pop-up to allow changes, is to allow the installation in your PC. Since you have already installed the AVG programs you need not install it again.
However to fix your issues with AVG TuneUp and AVG Internet Security, I suggest you to click on the link below and follow the steps as instructed.
