Yes, if you have our AVG multidevice program installed then you will be having two User interface applications running.
One is the Zen interface process and the other is the AVG protection or performance depends upon the program that you have installed.

The following programs are set to run at start up

Is this correct? Do I need both of them to be enabled at start up?
My PC start up appears to be delayed due to AVG marketing splash screens received at start up - do either of the above relate to this?
Any advice aoppreciated.

please can you advise which of the 2 programs relates to the generic AVG protection (i.e. not the ZEN interface)?

You are most welcome, Sue. In the screenshot the first one belongs to AVG Zen and the second one belongs to AVG Protection.
