AVG auto subscription -need a refund

I cancelled my auto-renewal in 2023. But was auto-deducted in 2024 through PayPal. How do I get my refund?

i bought avg once in 2023, i did not sign up for yearly renewal.
January 14 2024 i was charged $99.00 that i did not sign up for.
I did not see that charges till today. I'm calling sales (while typing this message, on hold for over an hour so far). I've tried their chat support all they can tell me is that its been over 30 days and they cannot refund my money. first of all i did not ask for renewal, second i dont use avg on my pc. i dont even have the pc anymore. Why would you do a auto renewal when you purchase. if i want subscription i will tell you, this is a scam. I need to get a refund, why would i pay for service that i dont even use??? 

also i was charged January 14 2024 before it expires. expiration is February 18, 2024
I will report this to FTC and BBB if i don't get my refund.

Checking the system, I can see that the order in question was an automatic renewal of your initial subscription. 

Please note that all AVG subscriptions are continuous, which means they will be automatically renewed before they expire by the full price of the product if the automatic renewal option is left enabled. This is actually a common practice in the industry and it is communicated in our Terms and Conditions, which are accepted by the user when they complete the order. Notification emails are being sent before each action, to the email address used for subscribing, so this won't come as a surprise. 

Still, I am truly sorry you were not aware of this. 

Nonetheless, I can confirm that the refund for this order has already been requested, and the funds should be back in your account in the next 5-7 working days.

I hope this clarifies and helps, and remain at your disposal should you need any other assistance.
