Now I'm having this exact issue. My AVG Antivirus updated automatically a few weeks ago. Not just a daily defintion update, but an entire software update. That's when this issue started. I also uninstalled from the AVG and reinstalled from the website, but no help.

We're glad to look into this & help you. This isn't the usual behavior of AVG program.
Please let us know the version of your MAC & clarify whether you've dragged AVG to trash to uninstall it.
I'm having EXACTLY the same problem. AVG has been installed for years with no trouble, and then recently… let's just say our screen shots would look identical.
I tried uninstalling, restarting, and reinstalling AVG twice to no avail.
AVG AntiVirus version 19.6
OSX version 10.14.6

I'm running MacOS 10.15.6, the latest version available, and I uninstalled AVG by going to the menu bar and clicking uninstall AVG, I did not drag it to the trash.
