AVG Behavior Shield alsways off upon PC startup

Folks,

My joy gone down the drain. Today I started laptop, 3rd startup after I reinstalled AVG free being everything fine and… exactly the same problem :frowning:

De you think guys I can be safe if Behavior Shield is disabled? I can enable it manually after startup but is tedious and I might forget sometimes, or if I'm in a hurry.

Thanks again and Best Regards

Raúl

Hi,
Please can you advise if this was ever resolved as I get this on startup and after clean install as well.
Cheers

Hello RPG,
I'm sorry to hear about this. In this case, I request you to repair AVG Protection (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-repair-AVG), update (open AVG Internet Security/AVG Free Antivirus > menu > settings > update) it one more time and reboot your computer once. After reboot, please check if your AVG program is working fine. If the issue still persists, then please share a screenshot (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot) of the error message to assist you further. You can post the screenshot here on your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Best regards,
Alok.

RPG,
Thank you for letting us know.
We're glad we were able to put you at ease. If you need anything else, do not hesitate to let us know.

Appreciate your efforts to follow our suggestions but I regret to hear that the issue persist. In this case, I would request you to completely uninstall AVG free and re install it.

For instructions on how to uninstall AVG, please click on this link
http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG .

Then refer to steps in this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free on how to download and install AVG Anti Virus Free.

Thanks guys, one thing: when I run your tool, right after startung up my laptop, AVG didn't show this error, then I turned it off, and left. Now I turned it on again and problem is back, therefore, it seems that most of the times the problem shows on startup, but not always, puzzling…

Anyway, I'll wait for your technical support team feedback.

I really appreciate your effort with helping users!!

Regards

Raúl

I reply again (I replied but answernever came up):

I followed AVG repair procedure provided by Alok. AVG was repaired successfully (it said so). When rebooting, I got exactly the same situation, i.e. no fix.

Any suggestions?

Thanks everybody again and Best Regards

Raúl

Thanks, Alok, I posted the first screenshot but the second one didn't load properly, and in fact the rest of my message, let me continue it below:

I can enable it manually, but if I restart will be off again. Question is, is there any way around to solve it? I have free versión, software versión 17.9.4040, and everything seems to be up to date per today… Anyway, I'll try to follow your advice…

Thanks a lot in advance and Best Regards

Raúl
