Hi Tom, try to Exclude ACT start-up file from AVG scanning using this article http://avgread.me/1UR7MIS
For AVG Free goto menu "Options" -> "Advanced Settings". Select "Exceptions". Add the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows\Act!.exe" as an exception using default settings. Worked for me.
AVG is blocking a program ACT start-up a good program. I mistakenly accepted AVG's request to block it as a virus. How can I remove the block? If I shutdown AVG virus protection I can start-up ACT.
Thanks,
Tom
