Did you try changing the location/server of your AVG Secure VPN & check if the issue persists?
You can try connecting to one to the P2P or Streaming servers & check if you're still unable to search on Google.
Also, does this issue only occur in your Google Chrome browser or in all your other browsers as well?

Hi
I had to re-installl windows 7 after windows 10 failed.  now if the AVG VPN is turned on I cannot search for anything on google.
It worked perfectly before
