For better clarity, please share us the screenshot of the notification that you receive from AVG, after clicking on 'See details' in it.
One of my clients has an issue with incoming servers being blocked by AVG Free
Comcast: IMAP.comcast.net
Gmail: IMPA.gmail.com
I turned off the email scan to fix the issue
Earlier versions had an option to enter the incoming and outgoing servers but I am not able to find this in the new version, so just turned off the email scan function to fix it.
