Ryan,
Sorry for the delayed response. Have you tried disabling Web shield component and check the status of the incoming email? If not, please disable it and check. Also, let me know what e-mail client you are using and what is the e-mail, provider? (e.g. Gmail, Hotmail).
Do also provide me the version of MAC OS and AVG version.
it's 2021 and this issue is still happening. Is there an actual solution to the mail issue on Mac or is AVG ignoring it like the many growing unanswered questions on your forum.
AVG is blocking some incoming email. It's clearly showing up on other devices, just not my mac. I had to give up on Avast before because of the same issue.

Ryan, Just to confirm only free Mac AV is available (https://www.avg.com/en-us/avg-antivirus-for-mac).
AVG Guru
I'm using the free verion on the latest version of Sierra.
I don't actually see a paid version under the Mac area on your site. Am I crazy?

I installed it on 8+ Macs which exhibited the problem as well as occasionally showing emails that did come through from the wrong sender in the list of emails.
I installed the latest version of AVG last week on several Mac of varying versions. Each seemed to have the issue.
Hello, Ryan.
I understand this must be upsetting. May I know how did you narrow down this to AVG?

Hello Ryan,
Please be informed, we only have AVG Free Antivirus and AVG Free Cleaner for Mac (Currently we do not have paid version of protection and performance programs for Mac). Please let me know the version of AVG Free Antivirus. To check the version, you can follow user manual, part 4.3. Menu in the task bar http://files-download.avg.com/doc/AVG_AntiVirus_for_Mac/avg_avm_uma_en_ltst_03.pdf . I also request you to let me know the exact version of your Mac Operating system (First, click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen. From there, you can click 'About this Mac').
Best regards,
Alok.
