AVG blocking internet connection

Jon,
We apologize for the difficulties, we realize how trying the situation is; let us work together to resolve this. We request you to reboot your device in safe mode http://avgclick.me/rebootintosafemode and then uninstall your AVG program: http://avgclick.me/UninstallAVGAV.

Kindly download your AVG remover and run it, then go to C: -> AVG Remover -> Bin -> pctremover.exe and avgfmwremover.exe (do not restart your device if prompted), then run avgremover.exe (it will automatically reboot your device).

Then please remove the AVG folders manually as suggested below. Go to Run window (press windows key and R key simultaneously) and type the following comments to delete the folders.

1. Type  “Temp” and press enter, remove all the files.
2.  “%temp%” and remove all the files.
3.  %appdata% - Remove all the AVG folders.
4.  %programdata% - Open the AVG folder and remove the old files.

Hi,

AVG is blocking the internet connection to one of the laptops. Luckily the other laptop / devices are protected with McAfee which is causing no issues whatsoever so we can access the internet or we would be totally lost.

We have tried looking at other forums to get answers but all there ever is a support agent saying "we will email you" so no one can resolve this themselves.

The laptop is using Windows 10 and we have been trying to resolve the issue for well over an hour or so now - being on hold by AVG for most of it! (after a massive rigmarole trying to find their number)

AVG freezes when we try to uninstall it and I cant find anything to deactivate it temporarily.

Does anyone know how to get the internet connection to work - i would be very grateful.

Thanks
