AVG blocking IPv4 connection

Yes, both DNS and IP are set to obtain automatically. I have not configured any proxies or vpn.

Hello Martin,

This isn't the expected behavior. Let us get few information and assist further on this matter.
Are you checking the IPv4 and IPv6 status from the window as shown below:

Open AVG Internet Security program and click on "Menu–>About" from it.
Take a screenshot of that window and share it here. You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Thank you.

Yeah, I checked the connection the same way as you did.

Hello,

The problem is, with AVG enabled upon startup my network adapter can only connect to IPv6.
IPv4 status is: No network access - this causes me to only access google related sites

I disabled AVG then restarted my network adapter and then it connected succesfully then re-enabled AVG and it works. If I have AVG enabled first then try to start the network adapter, connection can not be established.

Thanks for you help!

Hello Hassan,
We will look into it. Do you have paid subscription of AVG? If so, please contact our technical team as suggested here: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Contact-AVG-Support
If you are using free version of AVG Antivirus, please do reach us from your own post using this link: https://support.avg.com/support_authorization_required?startUrl=/support_ask

I used the AVG clear tool to remove AVG. When AVG is disabled / uninstalled, both IPv4 and IPv6 works instantly.
Then I reinstalled AVG, and now IPv6 works, but IPv4 still does not.

I've just tested the following: If I have AVG enabled, and I only disable AVG's enhanced firewall, IPv4 connects, and it works.

We appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue, Martin.
We have sent you an email requesting logs to analyze the case. Please send the requested data to escalate this case. Our senior team will check and get back to you via email.

Okay, Martin.
Please uninstall AVG using AVG Clear and Remover tool https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Uninstall-AVG-software and check the status of both IPV4 and IPV6 (take screenshot).
Reinstall AVG Ultimate as suggested below and let us know its status.
AVG Internet Security: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection
AVG Tuneup: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Install-AVG-TuneUp

Thank you for sharing us the screenshots, Martin.
This isn't the usual behavior of AVG. In this regard, let us ensure if the IPV4 settings are configured correctly. Click on Properties & select IPV4 - Check if obtain DNS automatically is checked. Let us know if you've configured any proxy server.

Martin,
Let's have a look at it together.
Please try to change the DNS server using Google Public DNS and check the status: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Troubleshoot-DNS

Unfortunately, even after changing the DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and flushing dns, it still doesnt work.

Thank you for providing us the info, Martin.
In this regard, please try repairing AVG once & restart the computer to ensure that all services are running fine.

I am facing the same problems, i have subscribed on couple of websites like Cheap Essay Writing Service (https://www.2dollaressay.com/). The virus was hidden in couple of files i downloaded from websites. I scanned the complete pc but the pc is still slow.
Is there any solution for that???

Thank you for your understanding, Martin.
