When I disable AVG firewall, I am able to connect to a remote share using NET USE.
However if the firewall is enabled, it does not connect.
I tried adding NET.EXE (c:\windoes\system32) to trusted apps. I get an error.
How do I make AVG trust the NET USE command ?

Hello John. Please check the link http://avgread.me/1G3omO8 to allow an application in firewall and see if you are able to fix this issue. Please reach us back if you still face the same issue. Thank you. Kishore, AVG Customer Care.
I have a setup in which I have a couple of workstations that I don't have them joined to the Windows 2012 domain. I still need to map some drives to those servers so when I run;
net use I: \SVR1\Install$ /user:administrator password
I get an error saying that it can't be found nor does it log that account in. If I disable the AVG 2013, then everything works just fine.
What do I need to do to allow a drive map without AVG blocking it? I'm thinking I need to allow the program NET.exe ? Or is there more to this?
Hello John, I have sent you the email instructions regarding the issue. I request you to follow the email instructions.Thank you.

I think I have already mentioned this…
I command I am trying to execute to map a drive to a share is
c:\windows\system32\NET.exe USE \machine\Share /USER:<username>
I get an error System 53
I disable Firewall and try again and it works
I enable firewall again and try to add the application to safe list. I get an error that the entry already exists.
Looks like AVG does not allow mapping of remote shared drives.
